Henry Kissinger: A legacy of forging China-U.S. peace and coexistence

01:45

Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger died on Wednesday at his home in Connecticut at the age of 100. He made a remark at a seminar entitled "Dr. Kissinger and China-U.S. Relations" in 2022, highlighting that confrontation between China and the U.S. might lead to conflict and military action must be avoided. He said the two countries have a special obligation to work out what he would define as "principles of coexistence", adding each side should make efforts to fully understand the core interests of the other side.
