A 238-kilometer section of the Sichuan-Qinghai Railway in western China has become operational after 12 years of construction. The Zhenjiangguan Railway Station's 30-meter-high bridge exemplifies the innovative design that minimizes the railway's environmental impact. The construction of the Sichuan-Qinghai Railway adhered to a prudent approach, prioritizing minimal excavation and ecological preservation. The project used slag from tunnels as filling material to curb the disruption of the surrounding ecosystem.
