Hoffman is an English teacher who was among Lhasa's first group of skateboarders. Having taken up the sport 15 years ago, he says he enjoys the sense of freedom skateboarding gives him. Tebar, the owner of Lhasa's only skateboard shop, has recently opened the first indoor skateboarding park in Xizang. He also organizes all the regular skateboarding events held in Lhasa. Like Hoffman, he is a witness to skateboarding's development in the city.
