Bankruptcy leaves Nottingham residents a harder life amid persistent high inflation

Nottingham City Council declared itself bankrupt on November 29, saying it will stop all spending other than services it must provide by law. The council must convene a special meeting within 21 days after declaring effective bankruptcy to discuss the problems and response measures faced after bankruptcy.
