Poyang Lake, China's largest freshwater lake, is seeing the peak number of wintering wild cormorants. Xieshan Island in Poyang Lake is the main habitat for wild cormorants. With abundant food, the lake is one of the most important wintering habitats for birds on the East Asian-Australasian flyway from October to March.
