The truce deal between Israel and Hamas expired on December 1. On that day, multiple areas in the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah refugee camp, were attacked. The local medical situation has become catastrophic, and only Al-Ahli Arab Hospital remains in operation locally.
The Israeli PM's office has said that due to Hamas violating the framework, Israel will work toward achieving the goals of the war — releasing all hostages, eliminating Hamas and ensuring that Gaza can never again threaten the people of Israel.
According to a statement issued by the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs, although the truce deal has not been extended, negotiations between the two sides are ongoing, and international forces are still working to restore a humanitarian ceasefire.
