Russia's Progress MS-25 resupply ship was launched aboard a Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket from the Baikonur spaceport in Kazakhstan on Friday, bounding for the International Space Station (ISS), according to Russian news agency TASS.

The cargo craft is expected to dock with the Russian Poisk mini-research module at 7:15 p.m. Beijing Time (11:15 a.m. GMT) on December 3, according to TASS.

The space freighter will deliver 2,528 kilograms of cargo, including 515 kg of refueling propellant, 420 liters of potable water, 40 kg of compressed nitrogen in cylinders and around 1,500 kilograms of consumables.

It will also deliver food for astronauts, in particular, mandarins, and a trophy of the Games of the Future tournament, which will be brought back in 2024 and presented at the game.

Progress, together with the United States' SpaceX Dragon and Northrop Grumman Cygnus spacecrafts, are the three vehicles currently tasked with resupplying the ISS.
