A total of 11 Israelis were released by Hamas on Monday in the fourth batch of hostage swaps with Israel. Thirty-three Palestinian prisoners were also released in the exchange.

On Tuesday evening, 30 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli jails in the fifth swap. The Israeli government also confirmed on the same day it had received 12 hostages released from the Gaza Strip.

On November 30, Hamas and Israel completed the seventh batch of prisoner-hostage swap under the current Gaza truce.

CGTN Stringer filmed the moments a bus carrying released Palestinians made its way through the streets as it was greeted with loud cheers. A released Palestinian prisoner said she heard the news of her release on the radio, and suffered great distress since she was imprisoned in the Ofer Prison. A relative of former Hamas hostages also said they will continue to speak out for the remaining hostages until all are returned to their families.
