China's biodiversity is best witnessed up close. CGTN Host Tian Wei and UNDP's China Representative Beate Trankmann went on an expedition in the Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, where one in 10 terrestrial and aquatic animals in China can be found. After their close encounters with the wild kind at the nature reserve, Trankmann says China's efforts to protect biodiversity have paid off. The country has gotten better at conserving valuable ecosystems through the years. Tune in to World Insight's special program "The Heartbeat of China: Out in China's Wilds."
