Asian Americans speak out against anti-Asian hate and expect improved China-U.S. ties

Crimes targeting Asians worldwide have been on the rise in the past few years, especially during the pandemic years, when some media and politicians in the U.S. chose China-bashing rhetoric. 

The recent efforts to stabilize ties between China and the U.S. are seen as a great sign not only to people from the business and tech industry but also to the general Chinese American and Asian American community in general.

During her trip to San Francisco, CGTN reporter Li Jingjing invited three guests from the Asian American society in the city, Lillian Sing and Julie Tang, both of whom are retired San Francisco Superior Court judges, and Michael Wong, national president of Veterans for Peace, to share what they have experienced in the past years and their expectations for future China-U.S. relations.
