On the evening of December 1, an aurora appeared in the "Arctic Town" of Mohe in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. People in northern Chinese cities including Beijing as well as Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region also saw the stunning aurora.
It is reported that an aurora appears due to geomagnetic storm activity, which can result in navigational and communication difficulties in space and for airlines.
