Possessing a sacred and modern look, Niushoushan, or Ox Head Mountain, is home to a Buddhist cultural park on the southern outskirts of Nanjing, Jiangsu. The site is a popular choice for multitudinous visitors and Buddhists.
It has a dignified balance of ancient Buddhist traditions and contemporary tourist amenities. As an ancient sacred site, Niushoushan has a history dating back centuries and has been home to numerous temples.
The park transformed natural mining pits into an underground palace dedicated to housing what is considered to be a rare piece of skull bone that belonged to the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama.
