The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said it targeted Israel's Tel Aviv with a barrage of missiles in response to its killing of Palestinian civilians.

The claim of responsibility came shortly after Israeli media reported that sirens went off in the south of Tel Aviv due to possible missile attacks. 

Earlier on Saturday, Palestinian media reported "civilian massacres" by Israel in Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip and a neighborhood in Gaza City.
