Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shiite military group, on Sunday claimed responsibility for hitting a military vehicle in Beit Hillel, Upper Galilee in northern Israel with an anti-tank missile, shortly after Israel said "a number of soldiers" were slightly injured from missile shrapnel.

Tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border escalated after Hezbollah fired dozens of rockets toward Shebaa Farms on October 8 in support of the Hamas attacks on Israel the day before, prompting the Israeli forces to respond by firing heavy artillery toward southeastern Lebanon.
