The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday that it eliminated five Hamas militants using a drone over the past 24 hours as Israel resumed its operation in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF said Israeli forces targeted weapons storage facilities, command centers, tunnel shafts and other infrastructure and vessels that belong to Hamas's naval forces.  

It also said the military detected and identified a rocket launch from Syria towards Israel and the IDF forces responded by targeting the launch site.
