The second episode of Xizang Rhapsody continues to highlight the lives and dreams of young people in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. Sonam Droma, who returned to Lhasa after studying modern dance in Paris, is attempting to create a unique form of modern dance that incorporates elements of the Tibetan culture. The Nuonuo Children's Library, set up by Tashi Tsering, gives children in Xizang access to Tibetan-language versions of some of the best-loved picture books from around the world. Thubten Tenzin Chosphel, as a member of a band called Black Birds, is trying to inject a new rhythm into the lives of young ethnic Tibetans through a combination of local rap and electronic music. The stories of these three young people reveal a little-known side of life on the Roof of the World.
