Piñatas are a common sight at any Mexican celebration held throughout the year, but around the time of Christmas is when the tradition really comes alive. Mexican Posadas are commemorations of the nativity story that run from December 16 to 24. These gatherings for family and friends are fueled by music, food, and of course: the piñata.
