The opening of the China-ASEAN (Nanning) Theatre Week and the China ASEAN (Nanning) Culture Month created a melting pot of cultural performances as operas, puppetry, skits and dance played out on stage in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. A total of 25 art troupes from China and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries including Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam performed for an audience at the event. Other events at the culture month will include an exhibition of plays, an exchange symposium and closing performances.
