The finishing touches have been added to the main tower of this year's Harbin Ice and Snow World Park, lighting up the skyline of the city in northeastern China. Lit up in alternating colors such as bright red, blue and orange, the 43-meter-high tower made of 13,000 cubic meters of ice will soon welcome visitors to the park. Ice construction workers, snow carving craftsmen, electricians, safety officers and others worked amid freezing temperatures to construct the tower during the 11 days. Elements of Chinese dragon designs have been incorporated into its appearance, which resembles a dragon emerging from water. The design celebrates 2024 as the Year of the Dragon while showcasing the landscape of the city of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province.
