In a small village in Lijiang, Yunnan Province, Zhang Xiuyun, a lcoal farmer, has made some tremendous changes. Over the past ten years, Zhang Xiuyun has bred and tested 49 varieties of corns. She's also led a woman's team in the village to establish a "seed bank" to safeguard the local seeds that have been passed down from generation to generation. How did she become a farmer breeder?
