Rud Eric Paixão from Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a freelance translator and PhD student in translation studies. He has a degree in history as well as in Chinese language and literature. In 2021, Rud started translating "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" into Portuguese. His bond with "Sanguo" began when he was gifted a video game of the same name on his 10th birthday. Since then, "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" has become a significant part of his life. "I'm unable to think where I would be now without 'Sanguo,' without China, without Chinese language in my life." Rud hopes to introduce excellent Chinese works to Brazilian people through his translation, achieving cross-cultural exchanges between the two countries.
