For the past seven years or so, Bryde's whales have been visiting Weizhou island in southern China for food and reproduction. Chen Mo and his local research team have spotted over 50 whales since their first appearance. Why do these giant marine mammals keep visiting the island? And how have they changed the locals' views on nature and ecological protection?
