In the Poyang Lake area of east China's Jiangxi Province, a total of 60 birds from 19 different species, including first-class nationally protected wildlife such as the white-naped crane, oriental stork, and black stork, as well as second-class protected species like mandarin duck, swan goose, tundra swan, lesser swan, and white-fronted goose, are released. These birds were mostly rescued or confiscated as part of law enforcement efforts from China's various locations including Beijing, Tianjin, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Jiangxi and Shenzhen. After receiving proper care, treatment, and meeting the criteria for release into the wild, they are collectively set free. Join CGTN for more on site.
