The ancient people from different civilizations have forged masks from gold for various, usually unidentified, purposes. Apart from the gold masks in the ancient Shu civilization in China, the mask of Tutankhamun in ancient Egypt is also one of the world-renowned works of art and prominent symbols of their civilizations.
