China's Liu Shaoang clinched the men's 1,000m gold with a time of 1:23.696 after Dandjinou William of Canada received a penalty during the International Skating Union (ISU) Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Beijing on Sunday.
Another Chinese skater, Li Wenlong, finished fourth, behind South Koreans Park Ji-won and Jang Sungwoo, who finished second and third, respectively.

In the women's 500m final, Santos-Griswold Kristen of the U.S. claimed the gold after clocking a time of 42.892, ahead of China's Fan Kexin (43.117) and Wang Ye (43.176), who finished second and third respectively.
China's Gong Li took the women's 1,500m silver, behind Kim Gi-lli of South Korea, who took the gold in 2:25.83.

China's Sun Long took bronze in the men's 500m final.
Pierre-Gilles Jordan and Dubois Steven, both from Canada, took the bronze and silver, respectively.
Team China, comprising Liu Shaoang, Liu Shaolin, Ren Ziwei and Sun Long, finished third in the men's 5,000m relay, behind Team Canada and Team South Korea.

In the 2,000m mixed team relay, Fan Kexin, Gong Li, Lin Xiaojun, and Sun Long powered China to take silver. Team Netherlands claimed the gold. Meanwhile, Team USA took the bronze.
The ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating was held in Beijing, China, from December 8 to 10.
