An immersive exhibition that opened to the public at the National Museum of China on Saturday is taking visitors on an experiential journey into the magnificent world of Chinese grotto art.

Titled "Magnificence and Grandeur: Immersive Experience of Grotto Art," this new exhibition covers an area of around 1,500 square meters at the museum in Beijing, where artists make the most of interactive digital and AI technologies to give the mesmerizing charm of ancient Chinese grottoes a modern twist.

For those about to embark on this impressive visual journey, they should expect to encounter elements from various iconic Chinese grottoes, including the Mogao and Maijishan Grottoes in Gansu Province, the Yungang Grottoes in Shanxi Province, the Longmen Grottoes in Henan Province, and the Kizil Grottoes in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
