Mid-Autumn Festival is observed in both China and Vietnam, where they share some similar celebrations. On this special day, people from the two countries admire the full moon, and feast on delicious mooncakes featuring a variety of flavors and elaborate patterns. In China, the shape of the full moon symbolizes completeness and family reunion; hence the festival highlights the harmony of family get-togethers. In Vietnam, Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the "Children's Festival," where children are the focus of the day. It's an occasion for a children's night out and a family gathering.
