The Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 33-13 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sunday, extending their winning streak to five games and matching the Eagles at 10-3.

The result of this game further complicated things in the National Football Conference (NFC), where now three teams – the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles and the Cowboys – share the same record. Moreover, the title race in the NFC East, which the Eagles and the Cowboys are in, has grown more intense. The Eagles were the division champions last season, but no team has defended the title in the NFC East since 2004.

Quarterback (QB) Dak Prescott and kicker Brandon Aubrey made the biggest contributions to the Cowboys' victory at home on Monday night. Aubrey made four field goals, including one from 60 and one from 59 yards, making sure that his team always kept a safe lead. Prescott completed 24 of his 39 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns with no interception. Four of the Cowboys' nine drives included more than 10 plays.

Tight end Jake Ferguson, wide receivers Michael Gallup and Brandin Cooks completed at least one deep connection that was longer than 30 yards with Prescott. CeeDee Lamb and Gallup both scored a receiving touchdown. The Cowboys also beat the Eagles in rushing yards thanks to the solid performances of running backs Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle and wide receiver KaVontae Turpin. Dowdle contributed a touchdown.

The Eagles poor offense came from their QB Jalen Hurts' underperformance as a passer. Eighteen of his 27 passes reached the targets, but for only 197 yards and no touchdown. In fact, the only touchdown they scored was by rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter who exploited a fumble by Prescott in the third quarter.

That was the only time the Cowboys turned the ball over in Monday's game. By contrast, the Eagles had three fumbles by Hurts, wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. The first one happened in their first drive, the second in their first drive in the second half and the third time in their final hopeful rally in the fourth quarter.
