China, Vietnam work together to protect eastern black-crested gibbon

01:00

The eastern black-crested gibbon, also known as the Cao-vit black-crested gibbon, is found in southeastern China and northern Vietnam. A first-class protected animal in China, it was considered extinct until rediscovered along the China-Vietnam border in the early 2000s. In recent years, the animal has been seen and captured on video thanks to the joint efforts to protect the habitat of the gibbons.
