Renowned economist Chen Wenling said she expects the Chinese economy to exceed expectations in the face of challenges and grow even stronger in 2024. She predicts China's GDP growth rate of 5.2 percent in 2023, higher than the target — around 5 percent, set during this year's Two Sessions.
