Gulls have descended on Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, giving bird lovers a treat. Residents and tourists flocked to the city's Zhanqiao Scenic Area to marvel at the seabirds, which have arrived there in their tens of thousands. Some fed the gulls, while others snapped keepsake photos of the migratory phenomenon. The birds have come to winter in Qingdao, traveling from as far north as Inner Mongolia and further afield.
