In Los Angeles on December 7, "Honkai: Star Rail," a role-playing game by HoYoverse, a leading Chinese games developer based in Shanghai, won the Best Mobile Game award at The Game Awards 2023, which is often considered the Oscars of gaming.
As a space-themed fantasy role-playing game that enables players to explore the galaxy and embark on new adventures, "Honkai: Star Rail" has gained immense popularity since its release on April 26.
At the same Los Angeles ceremony, another highly anticipated Chinese game, "Black Myth: Wukong," released its official launch date and a new trailer.
In August this year, it won the Best Visuals award at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. This action role-playing game developed by Hangzhou-based Game Science draws inspiration from one of the greatest classic Chinese novels, "Journey to the West." Offering immersive, fast-paced combat against a diverse range of enemies, the game has greatly fueled interest in Chinese culture among foreign gamers.
