Regional power departments have taken active measures to ensure regular electricity supply as heavy snow and low temperatures hit China's northern and eastern parts.

Commencing on the night of December 10, continuous snowfall has affected areas across China, such as Beijing, Shanxi Province and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

To ensure a warm winter, the State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company has mobilized 2,453 personnel, 860 vehicles, and 109 power-generating cars for emergencies.

In Zibo City, east China's Shandong Province, the electric power department has utilized innovative methods, including deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to check electric transmission lines.

"Now, we have 31 UAV hangars, replacing traditional manned operations through the hangar management mini application. The UAV autonomously follows preset routes for inspections," said Yang Yilin, who oversees UAV screening at the State Grid Zibo Electric Power Company.
