– Israeli troops killed three Israeli hostages during battles in northern Gaza after mistakenly identifying them as a "threat," spokesperson for Israel Defense Forces Daniel Hagari announced on Friday night.

– The World Health Organization on Friday welcomed the announcement by Israel that it would allow the temporary delivery of aid into the Gaza Strip via its Kerem Shalom border crossing, and called for the aid to be distributed throughout the embattled Palestinian territory. 

– Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas stressed the need to stop the ongoing "Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people" through an immediate ceasefire during a meeting with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Ramallah in the West Bank on Friday.
