We Talk: China-Vietnam cuisine builds a bite-sized bridge

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam, the cultural exchanges between the two countries are deepening, and cuisine is a great example.

Pho is a Vietnamese soup dish consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs and beef. It's a popular food in Vietnam, served in households, street stalls, and restaurants countrywide. Meanwhile, Lanzhou beef noodles are not only a food tradition in northwest China's Gansu Province but a lifestyle necessity for residents as they start the day with a bowl of beef noodles. Thanh Thanh, a Vietnamese student who studies in Beijing, is set to try Vietnamese pho and Lanzhou beef noodles to check out their similarities and differences.
