A scarlet ibis, a species known as the "world's reddest bird," was recently spotted at a wetland in south China's Nanning, attracting many birdwatchers and photographers. The brightly colored species mainly inhabits tropical South America and parts of the Caribbean and is under second-class state protection in China.
