China's meteorological authorities renewed the orange alert for the upcoming cold wave Friday morning. It is the most severe warning in its three-tier warning system, followed by yellow and blue. According to the forecast, temperatures will drop by 6 to 10 degrees Celsius in most parts of China from 2 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday. Several parts of China could experience a temperature drop by 12 to 16 degrees Celsius and some regions could experience a drop by 16 to 20 degrees Celsius.
