Snowfall in Shenyang City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, blanketed the Qing-dynasty Palace Museum in white. First built in 1625, it is the only well-preserved imperial architectural complex in China today along with the iconic Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, in Beijing. One of the top attractions in the northeast, the museum has welcomed a record-breaking four million visitors this year, with only 2.5 hours from Beijing by high-speed rail.
