Construction for water conservancy projects is in full swing in the country's northeast, as rivers have entered their dry season. Over 300 water conservancy projects like dams, dikes, hydropower stations, channels and water gates are currently in place in Liaoning Province. China broke ground on 26,400 water conservancy projects during the January-October period, with 37 being major projects, according to data from the Ministry of Water Resources.
