Wuzhi Mountain, also known as the Five-Finger Mountain, is the highest mountain in Hainan Province, towering at 1,840 meters above the center of the island. The peaks of the mountain are in a saw-tooth pattern and together, they resemble the five fingers of the hand, which is how the mountain got its name. The surrounding areas of Wuzhi Mountain are inhabited mainly by the Li ethnic group.
