Six members of the Golden Coconut Awards jury for the 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) met the press in Sanya, Hainan Province, on Saturday.
Renowned Turkish filmmaker Nuri Bilge Ceylan, a multiple award winner at the Cannes International Film Festival, is leading this year's jury.
The 13-member international jury panel also includes Iranian filmmaker Shahram Mokri, Chinese director and actor Da Peng, Chinese actor and producer Huang Xiaoming, Chinese actress Ma Yili, and Chinese screenwriter Liu Yi.
The 5th HIIFF kicked off on December 16 and will run until December 22.
