Emergency supplies have arrived to Yuanqu County in north China's Shanxi Province on December 16 following a power outage. The supplies included more than 10,000 quilts and thermal suits, which were distributed to local residents. The power outage was caused by heavy snowfall and extreme cold. A total of four power transmission lines broke down. One power transmission line has been repaired, and is now back in operation.
