Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), announced on Saturday that a WHO-led team of UN experts had reached Al-Shifa Hospital to deliver essential medical supplies and assess priority health needs.
In a post on X, Tedros said only eight hospitals are partially operating out of the original 36 in Gaza.
"An immediate ceasefire is the only sustainable solution," he added.
