The 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival opened on Saturday in Sanya, south China's tropical island province of Hainan. Renowned Turkish filmmaker Nuri Bilge Ceylan, a multiple award winner at the Cannes International Film Festival, leads this year's Golden Coconut Awards competition jury. In an interview with CGTN's Liu Xiaoxian, Ceylan uses three key words to describe his impression of Chinese films. He also talks about his anxiety surrounding filmmaking, future plans about storytelling approach and his views towards AI tools.
