Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will visit China on Tuesday and Wednesday for the 28th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government, China's Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.
Chinese Premier Li Qiang is expected to host the meeting with Mishustin.
During the meeting, the two sides will have an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations, practical cooperation and issues of common interest, said Wang Wenbin, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The Chinese side hopes the meeting will help boost bilateral cooperation, enhance cultural and sub-national exchanges and deepen the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era, said Wang.
Seen as an important mechanism to advance the implementation of consensus reached by the two heads of state and coordinate bilateral cooperation in various fields, the meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government has been held annually since 1996, when it was first established.
