Hainan Island Film Festival "is a very good opportunity for experiencing Chinese culture and [watching] a lot of good movies," said Iranian director Shahram Mokri during an interview with CGTN's Zhang Meng at the fifth edition of the film festival. Shahram is also a member of this year's jury. He believes that Chinese and Iranian cultures are so alike that the two countries can connect with movies.
