The Hub: carbon neutrality and Green Silk Road at COP28

Dubai's recent COP28 brought the international community together at a critical juncture to bring about transformative climate action. Carbon neutrality is a central issue and will be instrumental in meeting the targets and the goals set at the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate. On this edition of The Hub, Wang Guan participated in a panel of stakeholders and officials to discuss carbon neutrality and the Green Silk Road and look at the main challenges facing the Global South, especially countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as vulnerable countries such as island nations. What responses and solutions in terms of funding and capacity building do they advocate to address some of the major issues and summon global political will? What new rules will govern the new economy on the road to carbon neutrality and green transition?
