The death toll from Monday's deadly earthquake has risen to 113 in Gansu Province and 18 in Qinghai Province, northwestern China. Officials say the focus has now shifted away from finding more survivors to providing for the immediate needs of the rescued victims and residents. The National Development and Reform Commission has allocated 250 million yuan, or about $35 million, to rebuild and restore damaged infrastructure and public service facilities in the two provinces.
