The Zootopia-themed area at the Shanghai Disney Resort officially opened to the public on Wednesday.
Inspired by the animated film "Zootopia," the new section is the first of its kind in the world.
Visitors can become a rookie police officer on the trackless dark ride Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, a new major attraction at the park, and meet and interact with many of the charming characters from the film.
A grand ceremony was held on Tuesday to celebrate the opening of the long-awaited themed area, with characters from the film – including Judy Hopps the rabbit, Nick Wilde the fox and their animal friends – joining the opening event.
Robert Iger, Chief Executive Officer of the Walt Disney Company, attended the opening ceremony.
