Twelve people were killed and another 13 injured in a coal mine accident in Jixi City of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, China Media Group reported on Thursday.
According to an initial investigation, the accident, which involved a vehicle in the mine's inclined shaft, occurred at around 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday at Kunyuan Coal Mine in the Hengshan District of Jixi.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
